Senior Quantity Surveyor £70,000 - £90,00 (D.O.E)+ Benefits Coventry (with travel to sites) Full-Time / Permanent A great opportunity If you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (minimum 3 years SQS), good with figures, and knowledgeable in all aspects of the New Engineering Contract (NEC), especially Option A.
You will be joining a well-respected and highly regarded company within their field, in this key role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Responsible for estimating and controlling costs for projects, and ensuring structures meet legal and quality standards, you will be involved in every stage of a project.
This is a permanent role, with a mix of office work and site-based, therefore, the willingness to travel at least once a week is required.
YOUR NEW ROLE Conduct valuations and process payment applications, providing supporting documentation as per contract requirements Compile internal commercial reports Generate client cost reports with supporting materials that comply with contractual obligations Coordinate the schedules for subcontractor and material procurement Supervise subcontractor/supplier accounts, manage detailed requisitions, oversee and approve subcontract payments, and settle final accounts Manage contract administration, including change management, and keep related registers up to date Employ the costing system efficiently Assess commercial risks, identify opportunities, propose value engineering, and record changes ABOUT YOU Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor Hold a relevant industry qualification Robust commercial acumen Must be well-versed in standard contract forms and measurement techniques Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Exceptional communication abilities, encompassing presentation skills and the capacity to negotiate and influence Background in the construction or civil engineering sector, complemented by commercial expertise.
