Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Stone Role Type: Permanent An industry-leading engineering and technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy division.
With decades of expertise in advanced system integration and operational technology, this company operates across sectors such as Energy, Water, Renewables, and Manufacturing.
Based primarily at the Stone head, with flexibility on location, this role will involve supporting projects across a diverse portfolio.
The successful candidate will provide essential commercial support to project teams, managing contracts and ensuring that financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial goals.
• Support all commercial activities on projects and tenders, ensuring adherence to the company's commercial strategy.
• Manage contractual change control, ensuring timely agreements with customers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring effective financial and contractual control.
• Actively manage risk and opportunity within project teams, contributing to overall commercial performance.
• Prepare and submit interim applications for payment, monitor cash receipts, and manage any financial discrepancies.
• Ensure projects meet contractual requirements, including the timely handling of variations, claims, and compensation events.
Skills & Experience Required: Essential: • Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the Energy or Infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to manage NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent commercial and financial awareness with the ability to manage project performance.
• Strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
Desirable: • Experience working within highly regulated industries such as Energy or Water.
• Familiarity with contract management tools like CEMAR.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS or CIOB) and project management certification (APM or Prince 2) preferred.
