The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply Main duties of the job In this senior leadership role, you will be able to develop innovative approaches to meet our data and analysis needs in support of improved population health outcomes.
You will work with and through a wide range of partners and stakeholders, both internally and externally as well as nationally and regionally.
You will deliver tangible results within the context of multiple external & competing demands and expectations whilst achieving the best for our population.
Leadership of the developmental of the Public Health Team function, responsible for increasing the organisation's capacity and capability to adopt and embed public health intelligence and analytics; that catalyse transformation; facilitates and develops population health gain.

Desirable Knowledge of Public Health intelligence Good understanding of Public Health Policy and practice Understanding of NHS and local government cultures, structures and policies Experience Essential Extensive experience and successful track record in health intelligence and analytics Extensive experience of using evidenced based decision making in support of high risk, high value and complex decisions and service transformation Significant experience of leading and managing a busy, diverse and responsive team with multiple senior stakeholders Extensive experience in the ability to effectively deliver work and change through others Experience of programme development and management and ability to deliver outcomes within tight deadlines Significant experience and understanding of working within complex systems Desirable Experience of working and management within the NHS or public health.
Experience of specific aspects of management: quality management; continuous quality improvement Skills Essential Highly developed leadership, motivation negotiation and consultation skills.
Excellent data science, analytical and reporting skills Significant business and project management expertise Ability to manage strategic interactions between stakeholders, develop consensus, identify improvements continuously and resolve issues constructively Strong ability to clearly disseminate data, information and the implications to all levels of audience Ability to work autonomously and equally effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh Advanced IT skills in range of desktop applications Power BI
