Supporting and contributing to business growth activities, including market research, capture and proposal development2.
Supporting Abt Britain to scale its work in the UK, including contributing to the development of systems, processes and contribution to business growthCore ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and contributing to business growth activities, including market research, capture and proposal development.Specific responsibilities will include: Identifying and tracking potential business opportunities, including initial assessments of the viability of opportunities for Abt's pipeline in line with Abt's capabilities and strategic priorities Conducting market research and making recommendations to inform and support the development of business development strategies and approaches Supporting the development and maintenance of strong external working relationships with clients, strategic partners, and technical advisers Utilising experience and relationships in relevant sectors, proactively supporting the development of partner and staffing strategies as part of positioning for assigned opportunities Supporting capture and proposal management activities, including but not limited to: Undertaking pre-tender capture planning and activities Supporting and/or overseeing aspects of the proposal process (e.g.
compliance, proposal inputs, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, etc.)
Supporting the management of proposal teams across different geographies and time zones.
May include supporting junior team members or managing small bid teams on specific opportunities.
Contributing to proposal content, applying knowledge of donor tendering requirements, compliance and guidelines Identifying and recruiting personnel Identifying partners and managing partner relationships and proposal inputs Formatting and reviewing proposals Undertaking management and administrative duties to support business development activities Developing and maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships to ensure relevant stakeholders across OGA are engaged, informed or contributing to Abt's business growth activities as required Contributing to the development and expansion of the centralised knowledge management repository Supporting and inputting into approaches to support the continuous improvement of business development systems and processes What We Value Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g.
international development, economics, public health, politics, etc At least two years of professional experience.
Business development experience (including market research and proposal development) preferred Knowledge of international development service delivery priorities and challenges Knowledge of relevant technical areas such as public health, governance, climate and environment, economic development and/or MERL Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of relationships with external stakeholders Knowledge of and experience with donor-funded bids is preferred Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven ability to coordinate activities amongst programme staff Excellent organisational skills, a demonstrated solutions-oriented approach and the ability to respond to a high workload in a fast-paced environment Advanced in the use of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and programme management software, e.g.
Microsoft Programme Valid working rights in the UK and the ability to be in the London office two days a week minimum.
