About Us:In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective, and efficient. Having brought our social housing stock back under local authority control, we are now building 600 new homes to address a critical shortage of affordable housing. This is a major investment, and we want to ensure it meets the needs of our residents. That's why we make every effort to engage and involve them in the development process.
The Role:Joining the team as a Senior Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to oversee and manage multiple complex projects from inception to completion, while making a positive impact on local communities. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while fostering a collaborative environment with all stakeholders.
Working closely with consultants and contractors, you'll deliver a range of projects. Ensuring high-quality architectural, engineering, and surveying advice, you'll embed best practice in the development of new homes and other construction projects. This starts with procurement and supply chain and continues to final delivery. At the same time, we expect you to meet ambitious targets, exert strong financial control, and ensure value for money.
A qualified and experienced project manager, you'll have a good grasp of the UK construction industry, including procurement legislation, supplier management, and contract management. Experience of new homes development is key. A self-starter, able to both lead and work as part of teams, you'll have an agile, collaborative approach.
