The RoleThe University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of the Reimagining Professional Services programme, an ambitious initiative which aims to create a compelling new future for professional services across the University of Cambridge.
This role is part of large-scale initiatives aimed at adopting new ways of working to support our staff and academic mission.
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering key projects within our ambitious programme to enhance and transform professional services across the University.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, academic staff, and professional services teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completionDevelop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgetsIdentify and mitigate risks, resolving issues as they ariseEngage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and academic staffMonitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with programme objectivesFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation We are looking for candidates with: Proven experience in senior project management roles, understanding the context of working at the University of CambridgeStrong track record of delivering large-scale transformation projectsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to navigate complex organisational structures and drive changeExperience with project management tools and methodologiesStrategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented approachResilient and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and changeStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence othersA professional project management qualification would be advantageous (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile) The Benefits In return, you will receive an extensive reward/benefit package including:- 41 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)- Flexible/hybrid working - Excellent benefits including a generous pension scheme, discount portal, cycle to work scheme, access to the university accommodation service, scheme for the reimbursement of relocation expenses, employee assistance programme, family-friendly policies along with many more.
