The Project
As an accomplished Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the build industry, you will initially be based on a £20m new build education project in North Yorkshire. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of the project from conception to completion while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum:
SMSTS CSCS Card First Aid It is also essential that you hold the experience below:
Proven history of successfully delivering projects in a similar position with build values in excess of £10m+ Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with tier 1 and tier 2 leading construction contractors Experience working on education projects is advantageous but not essential Additional Skills IT skills Quality & Risk management Effective time management Superb negotiation capabilities Ability to lead and motivate a team Understanding of construction laws and regulations In depth understanding of contract terms and conditions Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques The Role

Duties Chair regular meetings Develop and manage project budgets Carry out health and safety procedures Supporting and leading the project team Foster a collaborative and positive working environment Provide leadership and guidance to project team members Assemble project teams and assign tasks to team members Monitor progress of project team by holding reviews regularly Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues Conduct inspections to verify work quality and compliance with specifications Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure that all parties involved in the project adhere to contract terms and conditions Make certain all employees under your control develop and progress within the business Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure construction standards are met Planning and overall control of all site operations to ensure that the project targets are achieved Impose strict snagging, handover and aftercare measures to achieve zero defects upon completion Monitor and control of sub-contractors on site and developing subcontractor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the project Organising and overseeing the site team and all construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner Working closely with and reporting to a Regional Director to provide regular updates on project status, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and client representatives to establish clear communication channels and foster collaboration This is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
