Our client, a globally recognised construction consultancy firm, is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to add value to their infrastructure team in Birmingham.

As a Senior Project Controls Manager, you will: Lead and inspire a Project Controls team, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and fostering a culture of empowerment and creativity.
Develop and monitor the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and ensure its alignment with project goals.
Establish progress measurement methodologies and ensure accurate and timely submission of project actuals.
Use performance measurement techniques such as Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess and predict project performance.
Prepare high-quality, robust periodic reports and provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
Enhance planning, risk, cost control, and change management processes while ensuring compliance across delivery teams.
Facilitate and manage project-level change forums, escalating high-impact changes, and ensuring they are enacted.
Provide specialist advice to resolve project delays and challenges, leveraging technical knowledge.
Share lessons learned and best practices to drive continuous improvement across the Project Controls community.
Requirements of the Senior Project Controls Manager: Proven track record in managing large-scale projects with exceptional results.
Strong ability to engage with senior leaders, clients, and colleagues in both matrix and line organizations.
Demonstrated proficiency in Project Controls Management or Project Management for complex infrastructure projects.
Formal qualification or certification in Project Management or Project Controls is preferred.
Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and NEC Forms of Contract.
Familiarity with Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA).
Effective verbal and written communication, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
Ability to maintain rational thought and decision-making under pressure.
