SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER - MANUFACTURING HARLOW, ESSEX UK – PERMANENT Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Manager to work on a permanent basis for our client who is a global leader in in-store merchandising and communication, helping customers to create a better shopping experience around the world.
Reporting directly to the Plant Director, the Senior Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
The factory specialises in providing bespoke solutions tailored to meet our customers' unique needs.
Our comprehensive range of processes includes metal fabrication, powder coating, precision machining, injection moulding, digital printing, heat bending, and assembly.
Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the entire production process to ensure efficient and timely output of high-quality products.
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of three Production Managers, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Collaborate with other departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to optimize production processes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and timely repairs.
Analyse production data and prepare reports for senior management.
Manage resource allocation, including investment requirements to meet production demands.
Education/Work Experience Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in production management , preferably within the retail or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and processes.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry trends.
