Job Title: Senior Production Manager (Food Industry) Location: Glasgow Salary: Competitive + Benefits We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Production Manager to join a leading food production company based in Glasgow, this is a critical role overseeing all aspects of production, with a key focus on Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and maintaining exceptional product quality.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Production Manager will drive operational excellence, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations to ensure all products meet strict quality and safety standards.
Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Implement and monitor best practices in food safety, hygiene, and quality control in line with company policies and industry regulations.
Work closely with the General Manager to drive strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, process improvements, and waste reduction.
Support the technical team in maintaining the quality management system, ensuring full compliance with BRC and other certifications.
Identify and implement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise costs.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are well-versed in HSE and quality standards.
Oversee production schedules and resource allocation to meet targets and deadlines.
Key Requirements: Proven experience in a manufacturing management role within the food production industry.
HSE Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations with a track record of maintaining high safety standards.
Expertise in managing high-quality standards, including food safety, BRC, and hygiene practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate production teams, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
In-depth understanding of food production processes.
Effective communication and leadership skills, with a focus on driving team performance and maintaining a positive work environment.
