Senior Product Owner with Underwriting & Claims experience, wanted by a global Insurance & ReInsurance organisation.
You'll be joining an established but smaller team, working across Finance & Actuarial (F&A) IT Products.
The business is looking to align a newly introduced Product-Centric way of working, giving you accountability for engaging with senior Finance, Actuarial and Treasury business stakeholders to deeply understand their IT system requirements.
As expected, this senior leadership role requires a proven track record of building exemplary relationships with senior business stakeholders and driving end-to-end delivery of reliable and IT solutions.
Acting as a subject matter expert and working with your IT Product and Technical Service teams, you'll govern and report on the Business Service performance, ensuring that the needs of the business and its users are met through high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams to capture requirements, prioritise features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritise a clear, actionable product backlog, ensuring delivery of key features and improvements.
Agile Leadership: Lead agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews) and drive the team to deliver high-quality results in an efficient and collaborative manner.
Customer-Centric Thinking: Use data-driven insights and customer feedback to inform decisions and enhance the product experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of features and services.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to enhance workflows, product quality, and time-to-market.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and product performance, ensuring the delivery of value to the business and customers.
Leadership: Mentor junior product owners and collaborate with other senior leaders to drive product excellence across the organisation.
The Senior Product Owner will earn up to £120,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 20% bonus, 18% pension, £6,000 car allowance, training budget, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits.
Based from the company's Central London HQ, the team normally collaborate 2 days a week on-site.
