This widely recognised government body, utilised daily by millions, is looking for a Senior Product Owner to join them.
2-year contract, with an opportunity for extensionHybrid, based in London 2 days per week£550 - £600 per day (Inside IR3)The selected candidate will be working on an exciting expansion project that will expand the services offered by an estimated 13% each day.
What will I be doing?In your product area, you will be accountable for understanding stakeholders' requirements and translating them into technical specifications for development teams. You will maintain and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined for implementation. Assigned to specific development teams, you'll ensure a constant flow of user stories. Providing Agile expertise, acting as a conduit between the teams and stakeholders. You'll identify dependencies and integration points between product areas, managing them effectively through delivery. Accountable for meeting overall product goals and deadlines, you'll control your Product Area scope, address issues, and communicate decisions. Collaborating with Solution Architects, Agile Leads, Test Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure an optimal solution and integration with bespoke data sources and engagement with third parties.
What experience/knowledge do I need?Minimum of 3+ years of Senior Product Owner experience on large-scale projects.Craft robust backlogs in an agile setting, adept at gathering requirements, crafting user stories, and incorporating stakeholder feedback for future development.Translate complex technical concepts into layman's terms for non-technical stakeholders.Foster stakeholder relationships through active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution to determine the scope, prioritise tasks, and identify solutions with both business and technical stakeholders.Coordinate integrations and dependencies with other Product Owners, aligning development efforts across teams to ensure timely, high-quality end products.Proactively identify and address delivery risks in your Product Area, devising suitable mitigations and escalating issues as needed.Evaluate and enhance product processes within teams and across the program, driving efficiency and quality improvements in product development, agile practices, and strategy.Provide mentorship and support to other Product Owners and team members, facilitating effective product knowledge transfer and new member onboarding.Technical proficiency in:Technical systems and data analysis.Development of complex, high-transaction back-office systems.Implementation of systems using Azure technologies (e.g., Functions, Storage, Service Bus).Familiarity with PCI-compliant payment solutions and SFIA competency-based resources is advantageous.We welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
