The role This is an exciting opportunity to drive the product strategy for one of the UK's most iconic brands.
Launched in November 2022, ITVX combines AVOD, SVOD, Live, and FAST channels to deliver an innovative video-on-demand platform.
As Senior Product Manager for Live Video, you will play a key role in shaping the future of ITVX's video technology and experience.
You'll be working at the forefront of streaming innovation, collaborating with a dynamic team of tech professionals to design and deliver cutting-edge products.
You will partner closely with the Product, Streaming Technology, Content Supply and Distribution, and Platform Engineering teams, as well as key internal stakeholders.
Your role will focus on ensuring that ITVX's live video delivery systems are at the forefront of quality and performance.
This role is heavily focused on the technical side of video streaming product management.
You'll be responsible for driving the scaling of ITVX ensuring it can cope with ever-growing demand for IP delivered viewing, maximising profitability, and ensuring a seamless, high-quality end-to-end experience for viewers.
Your goal will be to continually enhance this experience, growing the live streaming capability to fit the UK's increasing mass adoption of IP streaming.
The role will entail but not be limited to:
Lead Product Roadmaps : Define and drive the short and medium term deliverables for ITVX's Simulcast and FAST video experience.
Drive Technical Excellence : Work closely with Streaming Technology, Platform Engineering, and Broadcast Technology teams to ensure high technical standards.
Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams : Partner with commercial, advertising, distribution, and technology stakeholders.
Maximise User Engagement : Identify and prioritise features that improve stream quality and viewer experience.
Ensure Scalability & Reliability : Own the scalability, reliability, and performance of the video infrastructure.
Focus on Data-Driven Decision-Making : Leverage data and insights to improve the video product.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria) Market and Technical Acumen in Streaming Technology : Strong understanding of the UK's streaming market and streaming protocols.
User-Centric Mindset : Understanding of how technology influences the viewer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Experience working closely with engineering, tech, and content teams.
Data-Driven Decision Maker : Ability to use data to inform decisions and optimise the product.
Prioritisation and Efficiency : Ability to prioritise a complex roadmap.
