In Sainsbury's Tech - Commercial Food, we provide the technology and data to empower our Commercial colleagues with market leading decisioning and execution capabilities.
As a Senior Product Manager in Commercial Food, you will work closely with a variety of teams across commercial, analytics, digital, supply chain, logistics and retail to advance several core strategic initiatives by building up the Commercial data within our corporate Data Warehouse which we call ASPIRe.
Data within the Warehouse drives decisions, reporting, algorithms etc all of which affects millions of customers and thousands of colleagues.
More about the roles You'll be responsible for owning new and existing Commercial data pipelines- across several domains within our Commercial landscape including supplier, item or range and assortment management, stores, price/ promo- evening Nectar Prices.
You'll work with both analytical colleagues and technical stakeholders to share and deliver on our vision.
You'll lead an agile Engineering team, in partnership with an Engineering Manager, to drive Commercial Food roadmaps and development; regularly communicating progress, proactively managing risks/issues to remove blockers, and effectively prioritising, coordinating, and communicating the resolution of any production issues.
You'll be responsible for the coordination and alignment with other product teams and experience design to develop and launch new products and to continually improve customer experience.
You will have line management responsibility of one colleague More about you Possess knowledge and understanding of a retail business and technology/ data landscape Clear understanding of Agile delivery and modern engineering team practices.
Knowledge of product development principles and methodologies- prioritisation is a key skill to possess.
Demonstrate great value behaviours and a growth mindset coupled with drive, determination, and desire.
Judgement to make sometimes difficult and complex decisions at pace - comfortable dealing with ambiguous situations and helping drive toward clarity.
An ability to creatively solve problems and enthusiasm for delivering change through people and technology.
A high level of team contribution, seeking opportunities to provide input and support across the team and outside core areas of focus - a role model effective collaboration.
