Senior Procurement Professional – Permanent - £60,000 - £72,000 per annum, plus benefits, Located near to Glasgow Reed Talent Solutions are seeking Senior Procurement Professionals with live SC Clearance, to work with our defence client, located near to Glasgow, to manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Hybrid working, 3 days per week on site.
Security Clearance is mandatory for this role: Live SC clearance This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the companys objectives.
Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure high-quality service and delivery.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice.
Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience within defence or a government organisation whilst holding SC clearance Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
