Job Title: Senior Power Systems Engineer or Power Systems Engineer Location: Birmingham city centre Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience and grade level) We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Engineer or Power Systems Engineer based in the centre of Birmingham on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities: Positively contribute as a team member, including mentoring and developing junior colleagues Problem solve and apply the right solutions, while determining when innovation is best applied Lead the design delivery for specific packages of work Client-facing and regular collaboration with everyone else involved in successfully delivering each project Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, drawings, schematics, and other design documents across different stages of project life-cycles Model complex networks and perform steady state studies (load-flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash), dynamic/transient simulation, and harmonic analysis to validate and verify developed design What you need: Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, with a relevant academic qualification and career experience Experienced delivering FEED/detailed design to UK DNO/TO standards at 33kV or above substation primary design or substation secondary design or high voltage (HV) plant design In return, on offer is a competitive salary with a number of core and flexible benefits including flexible/hybrid working, Private Health Insurance, competitive pension scheme, a health & wellbeing benefits platform, professional subscriptions and life assurance.
