We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the position of Senior Portfolio Services Manager.
This person will be responsible for leading and managing portfolio management activities within their assigned portfolio as part of the Risk & Compliance Transformation Portfolio Execution Central PMO.
Key responsibilities include overseeing order book and value management tasks such as managing stakeholders, facilitating portfolio prioritisation, ensuring benefits realisation, and handling cost and resource management.
This will involve aligning supply and demand through effective forecasting and management.
The Senior Portfolio Services Manager will work closely with their Delivery Director to manage the portfolio and assist the Central PMO in implementing necessary processes within their team.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in project or programme management and a solid understanding of Risk & Compliance Transformation operations.

In this role you will: Create a comprehensive overview of change programmes and projects within the Bank.
This will give Risk and Compliance Transformation Leadership, along with Global Business and Global Functions Executives, a clear view of the portfolio's characteristics, anticipated and actual benefits, status, and resource supply and demand.
Offer detailed insights that go beyond basic data, focusing on how different portfolios interact and their effects on Global Business and Global Functions.
Assist in discussions to ensure that the portfolio aligns with the overall strategy and can be effectively delivered concerning resource demand and supply, financial aspects, timing, and benefit realisation.
Play an active role in the process of prioritising the portfolio and its components.
Manage the resource demand and supply by accurately forecasting and controlling demand through the Order Book, while also overseeing finances within the established budget limits.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: A solid understanding of Project and Portfolio Management is essential.
Experience working within a project team and familiarity with various methodologies, such as waterfall and agile, are necessary.
A strong grasp of Risk & Compliance Transformation, along with knowledge of retail risk analytics, emerging technologies, and issue management, is highly desirable.
Candidates should also be proficient in financial management and capable of planning, tracking, and monitoring programme and portfolio performance.
Strong stakeholder management skills are essential; the ability to build effective internal and external networks and collaborate with others to achieve objectives and key results is crucial.
Must have a robust understanding of how to analyse, interpret, and work with both financial and non-financial information, including variance reporting.
The role demands an adaptable and resilient individual with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
This role is based in Birmingham.
