Senior Policy Manager - 6 Month FTC London (Hybrid working) or fully remote   About the Organisation   Our client is dedicated to breaking the link between family income and academic achievement.
They do this by supporting schools, colleges, and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence.
They generate research evidence on effective practices for supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, ensuring this evidence is applied to benefit children and young people.
They are now looking for a Senior Policy Manager to join them on a full-time, six month fixed-term contract to cover a period of family leave.
They will also consider part-time hours, from a minimum of 0.6 FTE and are open to secondments.

You'll be enabled to develop your skill set and consolidate your expertise, within an environment filled with professional like-minded people, working towards a common goal.
The Role   As the Senior Policy Manager, you will support national policy-making and reforms surrounding academia.
Specifically, you will champion evidence-based policies for teacher and leader professional development, ensuring that national reforms are grounded in high-quality research.
You will manage our client's review of ECF (Early Careers Framework) provider materials and lead engagement with the Department for Education on professional development policies.
You will also:   - Align research and impact activities with policy priorities - Act as an ambassador for the organisation at external events and with senior stakeholders - Support the Executive Team and CEO through briefings and policy support - Provide line management for a Policy Officer     About You   To be considered as the Senior Policy Manager, you will need:   - Experience working in academic policy or a closely related field and a solid understanding of the English academic landscape, especially around professional development - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex and changing delivery environments - The ability to engage deeply with research evidence and interrogate findings - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to inform and influence various audience - Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with policymakers and stakeholders - To be educated to degree level in a relevant field (or equivalent)   The closing date for this role is 10th November 2024.
