Job DescriptionPlaceSenior Planner Officer - Research and Information OfficerWaverley CourtSalary: £44, - £52,Hours: 36 per weekThe City of Edinburgh Council is looking to recruit a specialist senior planning post whose role is to lead on research, information and data analysis to support the Development Planning team and the wider Planning and Building Standards service.The Development Planning team is responsible for preparing our next local development plan: City Plan and the successful candidate would be integral in helping to deliver the plan.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, skilled and works well within a team environment.Candidates should have skills and experience in MS Excel, MS Access, ARCmap or other GIS software and have a general knowledge of national statistics and where to obtain them.
The key role of the post would be to assess and support on the supply and delivery of new homes, monitor and analyse development activity across the city; provide a research and statistical analysis service and report and disseminate information.Our Council priorities are to end poverty by , become a net zero city, and enhance wellbeing and equalities for all.
Our City Plan project sets out challenging aims on quality of place, resilience to climate change, 20-minute neighbourhoods, net zero development and more.
