Gridserve is an international sustainable energy business headquartered in the UK.
We develop, construct, own and operate premium solutions for critical energy applications that are currently poorly served or unsustainable and have the potential to be radically improved by a turn-key product + service offering that incorporate solar energy and energy storage.
Key Responsibilities: • Assessment of the planning and environmental feasibility of land for EV Power and GRID Power projects.
• In conjunction with the Permits Manager (PM), prepare and manage the planning application process for an EV Power and GRID Power development pipeline.
• Preparation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening and scoping requests to Local Authorities.
• In conjunction with the PM, support the procurement and management of the planning and environmental technical supply chain required to deliver the live development pipeline.
• Preparation of planning appraisals for the EV Power and GRID Power development pipeline.
• Preparation, submission and monitoring of minor planning applications • Discharge of planning conditions and the submission and securing of planning amendments (both S73 and NMA).
• In conjunction with the PM, support the completion of other planning and environmental consents required for EV Power and GRID Power projects.
• In conjunction with the PM, support the identification of permit requirements for EV Power and GRID Power projects including ecological, highways and drainage requirements.
• Provide technically informed planning advice as and when required on the Group's product portfolio.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001) Skills required: • Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with at least 3 years post qualification experience.
• Degree or higher degree level qualifications in a related discipline.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the planning and environmental process applicable to the GRIDSERVE product portfolio.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills (including Microsoft packages).
• Excellent written and broader communication skills • Proactive approach to finding solutions • Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients, key stakeholders and suppliers • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and prioritise accordingly.
Job Title: Senior Planner Reports To: Planning Manager Department: Development Based at: (Flexible, working from home/hybrid) and internationally as required Responsible for: Supporting the permits process required to deliver the EV and GRID Power development pipeline to construction and then operation.
