The Service sits within a Planning Department under the Director of Place.Working in the Development Management team to progress planning applications and appeals.
About the rolePay Details: Grade 9 - £40,476-£44,711Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)Main Place of Work: Docks Office/Hybrid Working About youYou will need Working knowledge of the planning system.Excellent communication skills.Excellent negotiation skills.Ability to work to agreed deadlines and under pressure.Good organisational skills.Ability to manage a large workload.Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.Relevant post graduate planning qualification or eligible for/working towards Membership of the RTPI.A commitment to high levels of customer service.Ability to work as part of a team.Commitment to good quality outcomes from the development control process.
Ability to deal with people in potentially difficult circumstancesAbility to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.Computer literate and able to use a pc for letters and reports.
