Senior Physiotherapist 6 months NHS experience is mandatory Location: Tiled House Care Home 200 Tiled House Lane Brierley Hill DY54LE Pay Rates : £21 - £23 per hour Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement Contract Tenure: asap till 3 months initially Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation to join our Intermediate Care Service.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of clinical areas, including orthopaedics, neurology, medical and surgical conditions, as well as frail elderly patients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Care : Assess and treat patients with a variety of physical conditions in bed-based intermediate care units, delivering both individual and group therapy as appropriate.
Therapeutic Interventions : Develop, plan, and implement tailored physiotherapy programmes for patients, ensuring effective discharge planning.
Team Collaboration : Work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the intermediate care pathway, providing support to other healthcare professionals and delegating work to assistants where necessary.
Service Development : Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Mentorship : Support the development and training of junior staff and assistants, contributing to a positive team culture.

Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy HCPC registered Evidence of relevant post-graduate experience Completed junior rotations or equivalent experience in rehabilitation across a range of clinical settings Experience working with physically impaired patients, including fallers, in acute/community settings Desirable: Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Experience at Band 6 level or equivalent Experience working in community settings Skills and Knowledge: Essential: Strong understanding of falls prevention and management of complex co-morbidities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good organisational skills, including time management and the ability to work autonomously Ability to provide evidence-based, client-centred care Strong commitment to personal and team development Ability to travel across the Dudley Borough as required Desirable: Experience with IT systems and data input Knowledge of relevant national and local clinical guidelines
