With an expanding tech team, they are embarking on a transformative project to replace their current ERP system with a new, Laravel-built solution.
This is a unique chance to contribute to both legacy system maintenance and the development of a modern, scalable system from scratch.
The Role: As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the transition from their legacy ERP system to a brand-new Laravel application.
Your responsibilities will include:
Legacy System Maintenance & Migration : Working on the current ERP system to ensure continuity, whilst mapping out key migration paths to Laravel.
Greenfield Development : Designing and developing new features and modules within the Laravel-based ERP system.
Collaboration : Working closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other developers to ensure the system meets both current and future business needs.
Problem Solving : Troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing innovative solutions.
Mentorship : Supporting and mentoring junior developers, helping to raise the overall technical capability of the team.
Key Requirements: Expert PHP Developer with extensive experience in Laravel .
Strong knowledge of SQL databases and experience in database design.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
Understanding of version control (e.g., Git) and best coding practices.
Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Vue.js) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across teams and departments.
Ability to mentor junior developers and take the lead on technical solutions.
Desirable: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
Agile/Scrum experience.
