Job summary The Clinical Trials Pharmacy Department is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy assistant to join our team.The individual will help us deliver a high quality and efficient patient focused service.The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, excellent IT skills, have proven organisational skills, demonstrate an attention to detail in their work and have excellent communication skills.This is a varied and interesting role which involves a mixture of clerical/administrative work alongside dispensing duties to maintain the day-to-day running of the Clinical Trials dispensary under the supervision our Pharmacy Technicians/Pharmacists.A Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills is essential, as is experience of working in a pharmacy dispensary, the ability to work as part of a team, and evidence of good written/verbal skills.You will ideally have four GSCEs, including Maths, English, and a Science subjectEnthusiasm for a new challenge and a willingness to learn are key.Experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the successful candidate.Are you looking for a new challenge?

Main duties of the job You will be a key member of staff in helping us evolve the pharmacy service which continues to develop in line with the NHS plan for pharmacy.
As part of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team, you will help us provide Investigational Medicinal Products to wards and departments across the sites.There is a positive attitude towards development of staff within the department and you will be encouraged to participate in our in-house training programs in order that you can develop your skills and apply them in the most appropriate way towards improving patient care.
