Job summary Senior Perinatal Psychological WellbeingPractitioner WTE, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner WTEAs a Senior Perinatal Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner you will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients and providing assessment and low intensity interventions to clients, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
You will work alongside the management team to make sure that key performance indications are being met and will help to support the vision to improve access and treatment outcomes for perinatal clients.Talking Therapies - The Big Life Group is a user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health.The charity currently delivers a range of services including self help support groups, cCBT services, counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
The charity is funded by various NHS Trusts and works across the North West with the head office based in Hulme, Manchester.This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to enhanced DBS checks.
Main duties of the job Manage a caseload of clients.Provide assessment and low intensity interventions toclients drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
This work may be face toface, telephone, group, or via other media.Support the vision to improve access and treatmentoutcomes for perinatal clients.
Promote Manchester Talking Therapies to perinatalservices.
Work alongside the management team to ensure that keyperformance indicators (KPIs) for perinatal clients are met.Deliver a range of evidence based one-to-one or groupinterventions.Organise and deliver Perinatal wellbeing tastersessions in the community in partnership with our community engagement team.Deliver focused perinatal training to the wider staffteam, specifically as part of the induction process for new starters.Provide case management supervision where necessary,ensuring staff maintain data outcomes as per service requirement.Triage referrals into the service, managing risk andidentifying appropriate client care pathway.This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to enhanced DBS checks.Provide Duty cover to the team, supporting staff withrisk and safeguarding concerns.Participate in an on-call system and/or duty managerrota as required.Identify training/CPD opportunities for step 2 staff.Deliver and support events within the community; with afocus on perinatal eventsAttend allrelevant training where required and to facilitate the roll-out of this to thewider team.

To use a range of evidence based tools and techniques for assessments, goals and motivating clients 2.
To manage a varied caseload of clients, including supporting the IAPT vision for improving access for clients 3.
To work with groups of clients to help them achieve their goals 4.
To be involved with service development initiatives 5.
To be willing to attend supervision training to provide caseload management to a number of qualified or trainee PWPs 6.
To collate and analyse performance data as necessary 7.
To work in a place- based way to develop effective relationships with a range of internal and external services and agencies; with a particular focus on perinatal services and partnership working.

To ensure all statutory responsibilities are followed and reported as required 14.
Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to SHS and any relevant regulation ( BABCP Code of Ethics) and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health ( NHS plan, National Service Framework, National Institute for Clinical Excellence).
