Isle is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our team of passionate and motivated individuals working to accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions into the water sector.
Our mission is to bring new technologies in front of our water and industrial clients and deliver environmental transformation with impact and pace.
We work with water companies to help them identify what solutions are available to meet their challenges including in advanced water and wastewater treatment, resource recovery and decarbonisation.
We also help them understand how innovation can make the step change they need.
Isle's capability expands further into other cross-sectional areas such as strategic asset management and flooding.
We advise technology companies on how to enter markets in different countries, who their competitors are, and what it is that is setting them apart.
We undertake technical due diligence for investors, using our science and engineering-based investigation skills to find out what stage in development a technology is.
The successful candidate will be involved in delivering projects to water companies, technology providers, research consortiums, regulators and investors.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, agile, fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

The position available is for an experienced professional looking to further their career within a global consultancy focusing on technology and innovation in the cleantech sector.
This is a permanent position and offers the successful candidate long-term and international opportunities, with the chance to move between business units and our global offices.
Responsibilities include: Manage projects to time and budget for our clientsSupport senior staff with business development activities and strategyProvide technical input to projects in your area of knowledgeResearch into topics of emerging interest, to identify upcoming technology and innovation relevant to the water sectorData analysis and concise report writingPresentation of results to clientsLine management as requiredIn addition, Principal consultants will be responsible for business development and delivery within their area of expertiseThe preferred candidate will have: A Master's degree in a scientific subject such as Process/Industrial/Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science/EngineeringExperience within a consultancy, water utility or academia with a good technical and strategic understanding of current and emerging challenges within the water industry.Well-developed knowledge of municipal water, wastewater treatment, sludge processes, with technical expertise in one or more specific area – preference for specific areas of expertise in drinking water, water reuse, sludge treatment and managementAn established network of water utility contacts within the UK or ability to grow a networkThorough understanding of global challenges related to water, wastewater, carbon and the direct implications for water utilities and relevant industryExperience of managing a high performing team as a line manager and / or as a project managerExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsExcellent accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to maintain a high quality of reports and presentationsAn organised and methodological approach to planning and delivering work of a high qualityAbility to work effectively independently and in a team-oriented environmentHigh self-motivation, can-do attitude, optimistic outlookThe candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
The position will be based in our office in central London, although there is the opportunity for hybrid working.
Many of our staff work from home and so the candidate should be prepared to operate in a remote working environment.
