Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting a HCPC registered Senior Occupational Therapist is required to cover work in the Occupational Therapy Team at one of our council clients.
The role will include completing assessments for complex equipment and adaptations in people's homes.
There will be a focus on completing manual handling assessments, so the applicant will need to have experience of completing these and writing up plans to be used by care staff.
The service is currently looking at ensuring that care packages are right sized, so understanding of person centered care leading to decisions about whether single or double handed care required is also beneficial.

To carry out occupational therapy assessments, intervention and evaluation of service provision for adults.
(primarily those with complex needs.)
To work in the context of an interdisciplinary setting and to liaise with and provide advice to team members and social work colleagues as required To liaise with and work in conjunction with other agencies as required To effectively monitor the progress of recommendations for works of adaptation and equipment.
This includes review of provisions as required.
To support and supervise the work of junior staff students and Occupational Therapy Assistants as delegated by the Team Manager so as to ensure consistent standards of good practice and activity within the team.
To complete administrative tasks relevant to the caseload, in particular ensuring that the computer-based data system is properly populated to evidence activity, assessments and services.
Case notes will be contemporaneous with activity To contribute towards the development of services to adults in the Vale of Glamorgan Council catchment area.
To prepare for and attend supervision with the team manager or authorised designate.
To attend team meetings and to lead and contribute to this as applicable Ensure compliance with the Council's Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures To implement the principles of the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.
