Job DescriptionSenior Occupational TherapistSalary: Up to £40,000 Hours: 37.5 hours per weekOur client is looking for an experiencedSenior Occupational Therapist to join their team within their level 2 specialist neuro-rehabilitation unit.
The service offers a dual service, providing therapy-led rehabilitation and specialist neurological care for residents with a range of neurological conditions.
They pride themselves on creating a holistic environment, supported by a diverse staff skill set, aimed at optimizing clients health and well-being, maximising independence, and addressing emotional and social needs.Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy: A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy.
Registered with HCPC: Must hold a valid Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
Experience in Neuro-Rehabilitation: Proven experience in a neuro-rehabilitation setting, particularly with complex neurological conditions (desirable).
Strong Assessment Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in communicating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Team Collaboration: Experience working within an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating effective collaboration and leadership.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for: Holistic Assessments and Treatment: Conducting thorough evaluations and providing treatment for complex neurological patients.
Goal Setting and Review: Establishing and reviewing SMART goals in collaboration with clients, families, and staff during both formal and informal therapy sessions.
Outcome Expectations: Setting realistic expectations for outcomes and communicating these effectively to facilitate timely discharge planning.
Community Engagement: Participating in relevant community activities and conducting access and home visits across Lancashire and South Cumbria to support assessments and graded discharges.
