Job Advert Role Description This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding Therapy Service.
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy team at Llanarth Court Hospital.
The candidate should have good leadership and communication skills.
The role will be to provide a high quality service that meets the needs of the patient groups on our busy forensic wards.
The role of the Senior Occupational Therapist will include managing members of the therapy team, overseeing service provision in a variety of areas and providing supervision to junior staff.
The role will also involve delivering a range of innovative interventions that motivate and engage individuals to improve their occupational skills and mental wellbeing.
There will be opportunities for assessing, intervening and evaluating progress in line with MDT care plans.
The post requires someone who is willing to find new and creative ways to work with clients with a range of presenting difficulties.
Responsibilities will also include being involved in reducing restrictive interventions (including being involved in managing incidents of violence and aggression where required), good clinical note taking, planning skills, good time management and engagement in department meetings and supervision.
Qualification - Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
