Our Noise and Acoustics team undertake work across a variety of sectors from residential, healthcare, education, retail, and commercial. We also undertake assessment of sustainable energy schemes such as battery storage and solar farms.
Our clients include UK MoD, Sainsbury's, Amazon together with a variety of local authorities and building developer clients.
Our projects include House of Pre. And projects across Europe and North Africa.
Responsibilities: Environmental noise and vibration assessment, and development of mitigatory measures for buildings and plant equipment, through standalone Environmental Statements or discharge of conditions. Post-planning building acoustics design work from RIBA Stage 2-6. Ideal Candidate: A track record of industry experience - minimum 3 years. A strong academic background including (ideally) a degree in Acoustics or a related subject (e.g. Physics, Audio Technology). Membership of the IOA (Institute of Acoustics). Possess a good technical understanding with experience in planning work, mechanical plant design, and building acoustics. Sufficient standing to represent the company at regular project meetings. Maintains a good attitude towards health and safety. Manages own and others' time to ensure that assigned work is completed to deadlines with a good quality standard. Project management, including managing project finances, invoicing, project costing, procurement of equipment. Capability to write fee proposals, tenders, and technical reporting. An ability to drive small and large projects forward and ensure that they are completed in a timely manner. A team player who is friendly, enthusiastic, proactive, hardworking, and dynamic. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads. Good commercial awareness and a willingness to take part in marketing/business development activities. Full driving license and flexibility to travel is required due to various project locations. Technical Skills: Acoustic calculations and proficient in using CadnaA. Acoustics surveys - the use of sound level meters. Writing technical reports and providing acoustics advice to clients. Understanding of basic environmental acoustics guidance and standards such as CRTN, BS8233, BS4142, BB93, HTM08-01, BS5228, NPPF, NPSE, ProPG etc. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits.
