What You Can Expect Location – Milton Keynes Work Type – Permanent Main Responsibilities as a Senior Network Engineer Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to design and maintain a secure network environment within the bank.
Implement and manage Cloud network infrastructure and services.
Manage firewalls, including creating and maintaining access policies and rules.
Utilise and implement Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions.
Configure and manage Azure load balancer technologies to optimise performance.
Use Azure services to configure and maintain the Cloud network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot connectivity and security issues within the cloud architecture.
Automate network creation and configuration using Terraform and Ansible while embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Required Qualifications Switching/Routing experience at a minimum CCNA/JNCIA level.
Hands-on firewall experience, including URL filtering/proxy and Layer 7 policy implementations.
Experience scripting for IaC with tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Familiarity with Azure cloud native services; GCP knowledge is a bonus.
Understanding and experience using Azure DevOps.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A drive to learn new technologies and advance technical expertise.
Certifications such as Microsoft AZ-104, AZ-700, and Palo Alto Networks PCNSA are desirable.
Experience with wireless networks, especially Meraki, is advantageous.
