Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant to join our specialist nature consultancy team.
The individual will lead nature-focused consulting projects, manage client relationships, contribute to thought leadership, and support business development.
The role provides a unique opportunity to join our ambitious founding team and become an integral part of shaping Fola's future.
This is a full-time contract.
Although, we would review a part-time opportunity for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities: Client Delivery Manage engagements with clients to understand their needs and challenges related to nature and sustainability, including: (1) Impact and dependency assessment; (2) Risk and opportunity analysis; and (3) Strategic planning.
Own project delivery to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Proactively manage the quality and accuracy of deliverables, including reports, presentations, and data analysis.
Own the delivery of our unique nature diagnostic.
Relationship Management Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
Oversee project teams, providing guidance, support, and expertise to the core team and contractors.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy Stay updated with the latest trends, research, and regulatory developments in environmental sustainability and nature.
Promote Fola's mission and values through publications, and participation in industry forums and conferences.
Contribute to the development of Fola's thought leadership materials, including whitepapers, case studies, and blogs.
Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including drafting proposals and pitching to potential clients.
Collaborate with the wider team to develop marketing strategies and expand Fola's client base.
Skills Deep knowledge of environmental sustainability, natural capital, and related regulatory and reporting frameworks (e.g., TNFD, CSRD, and CDP).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Self-starter.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire clients and stakeholders.
Strong PowerPoint/presentation skills.

25 days of annual leave + bank holidays (with flexible working opportunities).
In addition to annual leave, we also require employees to take 3 days per year of (Fola-funded) volunteering with a biodiversity focus.
Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, sustainability, or a related field.
Right to work in the UK.
