National Sale Manager – Overview – Suggested Requirements of Role – A career history as a sales professional with a full understanding of the sales process from start to finish.
Ideally to have held a range of positions including sales and customer services, regional sales management, regional and national sales team leadership.
Ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant degree including sales and marketing, business administration, management and or accounting.
Certification from national organizations such as the National Association of Sales Professionals and Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Ability to deal with all levels of the sales process and customers integration To liase collaboratively at all levels of the business.
Knowledge of the Dental Industry ideal but not critical Have a strong CV with a reliable, long term employment history.
They must be strong in the following - Communication: written and oral communication skills critical to effectively manage customers and the sales team across the country Innovation: innovative sales ideas to support the company to grow its revenue and profits.
Sales knowledge: extensive understanding of sales channels, processes and functions.
Team management: Leading, motivating and supervising a team to help meet national and regional sales targets.

To support the Directors to improve existing sales processes, introduce new ideas and raise standards of customer care.
Manage sales budgets and lead a regional sales team and work alongside the Customer Services team.
Recruit, hire and train existing and additional salespeople as and when required.
Set specific goals regarding their accounts or regions and create sales plans using available data and information.
To travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland to manage and support the sales team, customers, clients, roadshows conferences and exhibitions.
To manage SB Top 20% of the UK customer base and manage the main lab corporate group Aim to build strong, long term business relationships with customers Support marketing team with effective sales campaigns, advertising and promotions whilst utilizing sales data and forecasting to support effective strategies.
Further Details would include– Data Using market data, statistics and trends to establish sales goals, review marketing, prepare sales forecasts, track sales data for strengths and weaknesses, drive sales and create presentations for the team and customers Teams Set Targets for national sales team using past sales statistics.
Oversee the teams on a daily basis and give guidance on sales strategies and processes.
Co-travelling regularly to all regions and visiting customers either with or without team members.
Motivating individuals and the team to achieve goals, KPi's revenue and GP.
Recruit, hire and train new sales new team members and manage the onboarding process.
Other duties will include completing performance reviews, strategies for improving employee performance and promoting successful employees.
Marketing – Work closely with the advertising and marketing team to create and improve sales promotions, methods and campaigns.
Introducing new ranges, products, equipment and processes.
Using historical sales data and forecasted estimates to create effective advertising and marketing strategies.
Review competitor's advertising and marketing campaign so that they can review and adjust their own.
Customer Service Levels and Customers Understanding how good customer service can influence customers, potential customers and sales teams.
Improving and supporting existing customer service models leading to higher profits, improving customer service skills to grow stronger business relationships.
Working closely with all customers and in particular large accounts, top 20% and corporate groups.
