We have the opportunity for you to join our highly regarded Underwriting Team.
Darlington Building Society is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to help grow our department and provide a fantastic lending facility to our members.
On a daily basis as a Senior Underwriter at Darlington Building Society, you will utilize your extensive experience to assess and make decisions on complex mortgage applications within your mandate.
With a quality and risk-driven approach, you will manage your workload efficiently to meet deadlines while ensuring the best outcomes for our members and the Society.
This role requires someone who can work independently, take the initiative, and consistently strive to understand and improve processes to ensure positive outcomes for our memebers to become homeowners.
As part of a growing team, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships that support a seamless mortgage journey for our members.
You will become an advocate of our lending policy, developing an in-depth knowledge of it, and contributing your ideas for improvement to enhance our underwriting function further.

We are looking for someone who: • Has significant underwriting experience and has held their own mandate.
• Is passionate about delivering the right outcomes for our members.
• Excels at building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Is confident working independently as well as with a team
• Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Possesses a keen eye for detail and loves finding solutions to problems.

Salary: £38916.84 to £41,286.52 (Dependent on Experience)
