Senior Microsoft Licensing & FinOps Consultant Location: REMOTE, UK-WIDE Overview: As a Senior Microsoft Licensing & FinOps Consultant, you will leverage your deep expertise in Microsoft cloud platforms (Azure, D365, and O365) to help clients optimize their cloud spending and drive financial governance.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Microsoft FinOps, you will guide organizations in maximizing the value of their cloud investments while ensuring cost efficiency.
Your role will involve leading high-complexity projects, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of FinOps initiatives, and providing expert advice on cloud financial management strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Lead FinOps projects focused on Microsoft Azure, D365, and O365 to optimize cloud consumption and reduce costs.
Provide financial governance and strategic guidance on cloud spending, offering clients insights into cost optimization opportunities.
Develop cloud cost management strategies , including budget management, forecasting, and financial accountability across teams.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, supporting pre-sales activities, project scoping, and solution design in cloud financial management.
Create detailed reports and recommendations on cloud spend, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Lead audit defense engagements related to Microsoft licensing compliance and provide quality assurance on deliverables.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and successful service delivery across all Microsoft FinOps projects.
Continuously monitor the latest trends in Microsoft cloud services and provide insights to improve client outcomes.
Requirements: 7+ years of experience as a Senior Consultant in Microsoft licensing or cloud financial management.
In-depth expertise with Microsoft Azure, D365, and O365 , particularly in managing cloud costs and optimizing spend.
Strong knowledge of FinOps principles and best practices for managing cloud financial operations in enterprise environments.
Experience in creating and assessing complex license positions with a focus on cost risk management and cost-saving opportunities.
Excellent client-facing skills, including executive-level presentations and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
Strong commercial acumen and experience in leading managed service solutions.
Relevant industry certifications related to Microsoft Azure, FinOps, or Software Asset Management.
