Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on advanced engineering analysis using OrcaFlex software.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge solutions for offshore and subsea engineering projects.
Your expertise in mechanical design and dynamic analysis will support the development, optimization, and assurance of key engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities Perform detailed engineering analysis using OrcaFlex to assess the behaviour and performance of offshore systems such as risers, moorings, cables, and pipelines.
Interpret and validate results from dynamic simulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical analysis into broader project scopes.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers in the use of OrcaFlex and related analytical tools.
Contribute to the conceptual and detailed design of offshore mechanical systems, ensuring robust and efficient solutions.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
Stay updated on the latest industry developments, including emerging technologies, software updates, and engineering best practices.
Engage with clients to understand requirements, define project scopes, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
Essential Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical or offshore engineering, with a focus on analysis.
Proficiency in OrcaFlex software, including experience with dynamic analysis and system modelling.
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of mechanical principles, hydrodynamics, and subsea system behaviour.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., DNVGL, API, ISO) and best practices for offshore engineering.
Experience with data interpretation and reporting to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to work independently and lead technical projects in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Desirable Skills Experience with complementary analysis tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS, or MATLAB.
Knowledge of offshore energy systems, including renewables (e.g., floating wind turbines) and oil & gas infrastructure.
Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and client engagement.
