Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £55k-£65k
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that design and develop electro-mechanical scientific instruments across the full development cycle – concept through to production.
They're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be capable of delivering robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new development projects.

The Role: + Develop new products – concept to production
+ Create innovative CAD designs
+ Prototype, test & validate designs
+ Mechanism & component design
+ Produce bills of materials
+ Project management
Requirements: + Experienced in designing electro-mechanical/scientific products
+ Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development
+ 3D CAD design – Solidworks
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Practical experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting
+ Knowledge of injection moulding, machining and assembly techniques
The salary will be between £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience.
