Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical (Ships) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Safety To carry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD and Build Operations to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure and regulation To represent the company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements (with scope for overseas travel) Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation Responsible for Testing and Commissioning activities of onboard mechanical systems Knowledge of mechanical system operation, ideally hydraulic, pressurised air and gas, domestic and chilled water and tank testing Experience with commissioning of complex systems and plants Understanding of Mechanical Flushing and Pressure & Endurance Testing and setting to work of systems Write and issue Rip Out documentation to process, identifying correct isolations to safely isolate ship's systems HNC in Mechanical Engineering is desirable You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

The Commissioning Team: As the Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a first in class submarine with the Dreadnought Project.
We are currently undertaking the one of the biggest and most complex engineering programmes nationally.
