The role At Abselion, we are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team as the first hire in our new marketing department, offering a rare and exciting opportunity to build our marketing function from the ground up. In this pivotal role, the Senior Marketing Manager will take charge of developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan, focused on increasing brand awareness and generating Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to drive our sales efforts. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, working closely with both in-house resources and external agencies to execute impactful campaigns that resonate within the life sciences sector.
This role offers significant growth potential, as the Senior Marketing Manager will not only shape our marketing strategy but also have the opportunity to expand and lead a marketing team over time. The position is based on-site in Cambridge, UK, and may involve international travel to support our global initiatives. This is a unique chance to contribute to the growth and visibility of a dynamic biotech company and play a key role in our journey.
Your responsibilities Develop the marketing plan to create brand awareness and generate MQLs to drive sales Implement the marketing plan, both hands-on and together with external agencies Define, execute and monitor multichannel marketing campaigns Manage the social media channels of the company Oversee and support the creation of content, including whitepapers, blogs, videos and webinars Data-driven analysis of marketing performance and continuous fine-tuning of the marketing plan Requirements 5+ years' experience in life science marketing Minimum MSc. in biology, biochemistry, or other life science related field (PhD preferred) Successfully planned, executed, and analyzed marketing campaigns Experience with digital marketing, including SEO Experience managing internal and external teams (i.e. agencies) Competent user of Microsoft Office Expert knowledge of marketing tools such as Hubspot or similar Willing to travel 25% within UK and EU What we offer Dynamic and fast-paced work environment in a rapidly expanding company Be part of a step-change in life science instrumentation Working on a cutting-edge technology at the intersection of biology, engineering, and data science Most important of all, join a great team!
