Aviva have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Manager - Risk, Governance and Conduct to join our Global, Corporate and Speciality lines business area, to establish risk policies and procedures, develop risk appetite statements and provide oversight and reporting to senior management.
A bit about the job: In this position, you would be acting as a trusted advisor to the business providing guidance on risk and control matters, commercial growth initiatives and change, whilst fostering a good risk culture by raising awareness about the importance of risk management and control across GCS.
You will ensure the ongoing provision of risk management advice and guidance, to guarantee sound business decisions are made.
The successful candidate will also interpret and apply framework requirements to align with business objectives, set and chair the risk functional risk forums including the agenda through to identification and management of risks proactively, and evaluating the control environment to enhance existing controls and processes to ensure they align with business standards and policies, whilst simplifying processes.
Aviva operates a "smart-working" policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role is based in London.
Skills and experience we're looking for: London Market OR Lloyds experience within the Insurance sector is essential .
Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, with proven business partnering experience.
Proven track record of influencing C-Suite and senior stakeholders on all things Risk and Conduct, including 1st and 2nd line.
Knowledge of the General Insurance market and associated regulatory frameworks.
Problem solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve performance blockages.

Starting salary circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
