Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Global Data Center Design and Construction team with specific focus on the EMEA Region.
This role will play a key role in assisting to develop and implement the facility infrastructure design standards, technical site selection, and white space and ground up new build construction projects.
The role will oversee and guide key engineering project within the data centers and lead the team of engineering, construction, and commissioning resources who will manage the implementations.
The role will help drive the evolution of OCI's facility infrastructure and drive the excellence within their space to deliver needs of the business as we continue to expand and improve our footprint globally.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Data Center Design and Construction, EMEA region reporting directly to the DCE Global Design & Construction organization lead.
As our Senior Manager EMEA Region, you would have the key responsibility to assist in the development and regional implementation of all our OCI data center facility design and construction efforts - including critical input and management of our facility infrastructure design standards, technical site selection requirements, along with white space and ground up new build construction projects across our EMEA data center infrastructure footprint.
You will lead a team of electrical, mechanical, controls, network infrastructure engineering and commissioning resources in order to drive the evolution of OCI's facility infrastructure design and support our rapid cloud growth globally.
A critical part of this role will be focused on driving further definition of our infrastructure products and leading continuous improvement in how we design, deploy, and expand our data center footprint.
Substantial work and coordination with 3rd party vendors (data center lease providers, design and commissioning consultants, contractors, and equipment manufacturers, etc.
), internal cross functional stakeholders and DCE organizational team.
Responsibilities Lead the EMEA team in the design, build, commissioning & delivery of data center critical infrastructure & network capacity for Oracle Cloud.
Work with other engineering managers in cross functional efforts across the Oracle Data Center Engineering organization.
Assist in developing and leading updates to the design standards and specifications for consistency, maximum system reliability and optimal facility utilization.
Provide mission critical system review and assessment to support technical site evaluation efforts for new facilities.
Research new designs, materials, and construction methods for data center equipment and related components, including site and building.
Provide and review detailed workflows for change management activities.
Develop capital project budgets and sophisticated business case analyses.
Provide and analyze energy efficient solutions to minimize losses.
Travel to data center sites for building relationships with pre-construction, construction, and QA/QC partners, as required (15% - 25% travel).
Respond on an as-needed basis to data center build and construction related emergencies.
Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to provide feedback and assist in addressing concerns and removing roadblocks.
Help develop and guide career path plans for direct reports.
Qualifications Minimum of 6 years professional experience in data center design, construction, operations, and maintenance, with minimum 2 years of people management experience.
Proven technical depth needed to assist in running this unique space in addition to a strong background of organizational management and leadership.
Strong leadership skills, and experience in leading teams and projects.
Experience building trusted relationships with immediate team, external stakeholders, and vendors to influence decisions for the benefit of the business.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Construction, or other engineering fields based around data centers.
Advanced degree is beneficial.
Extensive experience in engineering within the data center environment.
Must have, in-depth knowledge of data center power and cooling technologies including associated industry standards such as Uptime Institute.
Cross-discipline knowledge of complete critical facility systems and design & construction cross-discipline knowledge of pre-construction services.
Strong fundamental knowledge of data center IT technology, including networks, compute, storage, and mainframe.
Proven ability to manage regional engineering teams with rapid expansion.
Extensive experience in industry cabling standards (e.g., BICSII, RCDD etc.)
to drive cabling design.
Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including International Building Code.
Ability to use metrics to drive improvements.
Outstanding communications and presentation skills.
Knowledge with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and PowerPoint software.
