Job Title: Senior Machinist Job Type: Days based, Perm Location: Addlestone Hours: Flexitime between 06:00 & 17:00 / 37.5hrs over Mon-Fri Pay: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE Our client is technologically focussed, bringing together the disciplines of mechanical, electronic and software engineering.
Most of their production is exported and is utilised globally by companies across the food, aerospace, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
The company have specialised in developing and manufacturing specialised temperature and humidity measurement and calibration systems.
Job Description: Senior machinist/setter/manager to deliver production and development parts and manage the workshop & workflow.
Role Requirements: Setting up and running manual and CNC machines.
Tool setting and path generation directly on machine (G & conversational) & offline Ability to work with a variety of materials predominantly, stainless steel, non-ferrous & polymers Fluency with technical drawings, specifications and standards.
Delivery of high tolerances and surface finishes Routine machine lubrication and cleaning Tooling specification & order prep Jigging, tooling & work holding implementation Familiarity with hand tools & processes QC, inspection & documentation Manage workflow in conjunction with production & development team requirements Manage workshop operative/machine operator (currently 1 person) Manage & develop the workshop environment 1 off design work – production runs Supporting 3-4 machinists Liaising with design department and help produce programs Makings gigs and fixtures Benefits: 20 days holiday + 3 days closure (Christmas period) + Bank Holidays (8/9) 31 days Pension What next?
