The Role:We're seeking an experienced LNG Analyst to join us on our journey of rapid growth and fulfilling Vortexa's mission to open, connect and optimise the energy world through pioneering technology and unmatched market information.
As the first hire in the LNG Analytics team in Europe, you will play a central role in growing our business, delivering high quality LNG market and shipping insights to our clients and shaping new product improvement initiatives. Prior experience of analyzing the LNG and natural gas markets is essential. You will collaborate closely with our global energy and shipping analysts community, based in London, Singapore, Dubai and Houston, to scale our LNG market analysis offering focused on delivery of timely and actionable insights on the short term LNG and shipping markets.
Key Responsibilities:LNG Market Analysis: Lead research and analysis of the global LNG market, focusing on emerging trade flows, shipping market dynamics, supply-demand fundamentals, policy impacts and other price drivers. Utilize Vortexa's cutting-edge platform and data sources to derive actionable insights for our clients.Grow Vortexa's LNG and natural gas market coverage, developing new reports and content.Present our market data and views to clients through presentations, webinars, and conferences.Connect with media organizations to share Vortexa's unique market insights.Client Engagement: Work closely with the commercial team to demonstrate the value of Vortexa LNG offering to the industry and support our clients with specific LNG market analysis needs.Price Dynamics: Analyze and explain LNG price movements and differentials across various regions. Understand the factors influencing pricing, including market demand, shipping costs, and geopolitical events.Forecasting and Modeling: Develop models to forecast LNG supply, demand, and trade flows. Collaborate with data scientists to enhance predictive capabilities using historical and real-time data.Product Improvements: Collaborate closely with our data, engineering, and product teams to enhance the accuracy and relevance of Vortexa's LNG analytics platform. Provide feedback to improve data quality and develop new features.Industry Thought Leadership: Contribute to the company's thought leadership initiatives by producing blog posts, whitepapers, and updates on LNG market trends and developments.Minimum Requirements:Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation in energy analytics.At least 5 years of experience in LNG market research and analysis.Proven market analytical skills and a deep understanding of LNG and natural gas market fundamentals.Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex insights to a diverse audience.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or engineering.Excellent technical skills using Excel.Extra Points For:Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Python and experience with data visualization tools.We offer a vibrant, diverse company pushing ourselves and the technology to deliver beyond the cutting edge.
