About the Job – Senior Legal Counsel Specialist We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel Specialist to join our legal team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology law, with specific expertise in the video, SaaS, or cloud industries.
This role will be instrumental in supporting our company's growth and innovation while ensuring legal compliance and risk management.
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal advice on matters related to technology licensing, SaaS, and cloud services Draft, review, and negotiate complex software licensing agreements; in bound and outbound.
Advise on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights and liability and indemnu Support the development and implementation of data privacy and security policies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal issues in product development and business operations Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting the video technology industryWork with agencies, external stakeholders and contractors to communicate the brand voice and create assets in collaboration.
Qualifications Solicitor or bar membership 5-6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a technology company or at a law firm serving tech clients Demonstrated expertise in software licensing, SaaS agreements, and cloud services contracts Strong understanding of intellectual property law as it relates to video technology Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment Ability to work independently and to be comfortable working collaboratively Preferred Qualifications Experience in the video technology, streaming, or digital media industries Familiarity with open-source software licensing Knowledge of international technology law and cross-border transactions Growth Opportunities When welcoming new talent into the team, we are always looking for opportunities to bring in new ideas, those who ask challenging questions and have the curiosity to learn.
