About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Legal, this is a broad legal and commercial role reflecting the innovative multi-disciplinary approach of the business.
The role will provide legal advice and support to the business on commercial and operational matters in EMEA.
The role will require the candidate to manage a broad spectrum of commercial legal work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and drafting various significant strategic and operational commercial contracts including supply, distribution, purchase, and outsourcing agreements.
Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing teams, including advising in relation to EMEA promotions, campaigns, and advertising, ensuring compliance with EU law (including competition laws), local laws, and governance.
Instruct and manage external counsel, where required, to ensure local law compliance and effectively manage litigation.
The candidate must bring a proactive, business, and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and legal team.
About you:
The successful candidate will have at least 4 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm.
Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or the healthcare industry is desirable.
Experience in marketing and advertising will be an advantage, as would experience operating in an international environment.
Familiarity with key standard forms of commercial contracts is desirable.
Ideally, you would have experience of working in a fast-paced in-house environment.
