Senior Legal Counsel

About the company: A global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry.
They make offshore energy transition possible through the continuous evolution of lower-carbon oil and gas and by enabling the growth of renewables and emerging energy is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team.
The role is based in Aberdeen.
About the role: The role will involve providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to the business with a high degree of autonomy, in a supportive environment.
Principally supporting tendering activities on a day to day basis, duties will include assessment of risk, contract review/negotiation, legal advice and support to various departments on a range of topics.
This role will ideally suit commercial lawyers with demonstrable experience in the UK Energy sector, including offshore/EPCI contract negotiation skills.
As well as ensuring compliance with the company's governance and policies.
About you: The successful candidate will have at least 8 PQE.
Ideally, you have experience of working in-house environment within the energy sector, preferably within Oil and Gas or the renewables sector.
In addition to significant experience reviewing, negotiating and advising on offshore industry contracts.
Multi-jurisdictional experience including working with global external counsel will be highly advantageous.
This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and who thrives in a fast paced, complex and rapidly changing environment.
