As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:Developing and leading on HE programmes with a construction and BSE specialismPreparing, delivering, assessing and verifying HE Built environment subject specialisms on a range of courses and levelsSupporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.Managing students' learning and provide a high quality learning experience.Undertaking course administration as necessary.Leading and contributing to curriculum developments within the Built Environment departmentCarrying out course leadership duties where appropriate.
About you:Degree in construction/BSE field of studyEvidence of successfully leading a team in an HE environment related to the built environmentLiteracy and Numeracy Level 2Experience of leading an HE provision through 'Office for Students' audits and moderationsExperience of developing new curriculum pathways and capital equipment in order to provide the best possible learning environment for HE studentsSuccessful experience as a teacher in an FE environment, particularly BSE up to and including level 3Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobsExperience of working effectively with people from diverse backgroundsAbility to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writingResponsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
