Job Title: Senior Learning Support Practitioner Location: Minehead, Somerset Hourly Rate: £13.05 - £13.46 Annual Salary: £25,113.42 - £26,268.06 (FTE £27,144.00 - £28,392.00) Hours : 40 hours per week Term time plus additional days and training (42 weeks per year) We are currently seeking a Senior Learning Support Practitioner to join a specialist college and training hotel supporting young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs in Minehead.
The main purpose of the role: As a Senior Learning Support Practitioner your role will be to assist House Team Leaders and Deputies in supporting students in the residential houses and at the Hotel.
You will play a significant role in helping to achieve the companies mission which is to equip young adultswith learning disabilities to find sustainable employment in the hospitality sector and to live independently Key duties: Lead, support and guide, under the support and guidance of the House Team Leader/Deputy House Team Leader, all Student Support Practitioners (LSPs) on your shift.
Carry out the same duties as an LSP, but you will have additional responsibilities in Health and Safety.
All of this will be with the support and guidance of the House Team Leader/ Deputy House Team Leader.

You will respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support to LSPs under the support and guidance of the House Team Leader/Deputy House Team Leader.
You will also participate in staff induction programmes as and when required.
Take responsibility during your shift for any issues that may arise and take the appropriate action.
Have high expectations of all students, and to constantly challenge and stretch each student at every opportunity.
We expect you at all times, and under the guidance of the House Team Leaders/Tutors, to support the students in their learning, enabling them to reach their full potential.
