Senior IT Technician Location: Newcastle Salary: £30,000 per annum (basic) + £2,000 per annum (variable performance based) Working hours: Mon Fri, 40 hours per week (available to work outside core hours) Holidays: 21 days holidays (increasing to 23 days after 1 years service) plus bank holidays The Senior Technician will be responsible for providing their technical expertise and support across the organisation.
They will handle front line incidents and request management for the workplace environment.
The Senior Technician will be responsible for implementing the required standards and procedures.
Role Description Communicate effectively with stakeholders Follow company procedures (KPIs) and policies (security, etc.
), remain compliant to ensure standards and quality of service.
Understand the need to adapt your style to suit the end user and provide clear communication.
Assess incoming incident and prioritise work according to timescales and processes!
Proximity support expert (computers, printers, meeting rooms, onboarding / offboarding, inventory management, licensing) Installation of IT equipment and devices (desktops, laptops, peripherals).
Windows and IOS technologies.
IT equipment: Annual growth and renewal plans (life cycle) and ensure the secure erasure of data from obsolete computers.
Knowledge of the most common third-party applications (Office, Adobe, Cloud, Advanced etc.
), as well as enterprise applications.
Follow company procedures (KPIs) and policies (security, etc.)
to ensure standards and quality of service Deploy migrations with updates according to new standards (Windows, O365, etc.)
and global policies (xS) Handle escalation of incidents and requests to Level 2 teams, documentation, FAQs, and follow-up of incidents/requests.
Keep accurate and timely records within the incident monitoring system making sure that the end user always receives feedback on the progress of faults and changes.
Collaborate with others to achieve high standards of end user satisfaction.
Available to provide support to the business line outside of regular working hours when required.
Ad-hoc tasks requested by manager.
Skills & Experience Minimum 4 years of experience in the sector High level of knowledge in microcomputing and user support.
Windows 10 and 11 Professional, MAC OS, in enterprise environments User / devices administration tool: Active Directory, Intune, O365 admin portal, exchange, Azure High resolution capacity for complex incidents.
Strong communication to conduct business meetings.
Highly organized and efficient.
Time management skills.
Initiative and ability to work in a team.
