Senior Innovation Engineer

Purpose of the role - The Innovations department at Mpac performs a key role in the business, solving project critical problems to bring First Of A Kind products to markets.
You will be at the forefront of automation, solving problems to deliver added value to our customers.
Through a combination of innovative design, solid understanding of engineering and scientific fundamentals and a can-do attitude, you will tackle and solve the most challenging problems on fast-paced projects.
You will create new ideas, while working in collaboration with customers, suppliers and internal teams to develop and implement state of the art engineering solutions that deliver maximum value Key Accountabilities For delivering a high quality work to a given brief you are accountable for clearly communicating project information to a range of audiences both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities Lead and implement proof of principle ( POP) projects to demonstrate successful and robust process solutions to both internal and external customers.
work in collaboration with the applications and technical departments to develop solutions for identified technical issues.
design and test processes / solutions to fulfill our customer requirements to instill confidence and maximize the likelihood of success of our proposals.
act as technical expert to customers allowing them to access a wealth of Mpac experience to complement their own and adding value to the relationship.
To understand Mpac's technological position in the market and align our work to strengthen this position.
Develop road maps with support to manager R&D activities from first concepts through characterisation to agreeable performance and quality criteria.
create and manage expected timelines, resource and budgetary requirements to successfully deliver a scope of work.
be flexible and adaptable to learn new skills as appropriate to deliver a project or as part of your broader personal development.
Support other departments in the adoption of new technologies developed within our innovations team.
Knowledge & Experience Strong Knowledge of engineering principles Experience in an engineering design or R&D role, ideally in a relevant industry ( Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Clean Energy ) Experience in presenting solutions to internal and external customers The generation of design documents e.g.
Technical drawings, Design specifications, PI diagrams, electrical schematics & software.
HNC,HND with significant experience aligned to factory automation or BEng,BSc, MEng in relevant subject.
